The Brief

Following a 6 way design pitch against undisclosed agencies, we were appointed to redesign the Metro online site. The project aims to increase Metro.co.uk's rate of traffic, revenue growth and social engagement as well as moving their digital offering to the next level.

Our Solution

The new design focused on improving navigation throughout the site, with an emphasis on media and entertainment, as well as revamping the channel and article templates and the site's overall aesthetics, in keeping with the expectations of Metro's audience. Since Metro.co.uk was redesigned in December 2009, UK unique visitors over doubled from 1.4m unique visitors to 3.1m, within the first 6 months.
